Global Dollar Millionaires Hit Record 25.3 Million, Wealth Up to $98.3 trillion

The World Wealth Report shows that the number of global dollar‑millionaires rose 7.9% to 25.3 million in 2025, the fastest increase in five years. Their combined wealth grew 8.7% to $98.3 trillion. Only about 1% (250,000 people) belong to the ultra‑high‑net‑worth tier, holding 34.8% of the total millionaire wealth.

Regional wealth also expanded: North America’s millionaire wealth grew 9.9% to $32.9 trillion, Asia‑Pacific 10.5% to $29.7 trillion, Europe 8% to $20.5 trillion, Latin America 5.1% to $9.6 trillion, and Africa 7% to $2.1 trillion, while the Middle East saw a 1.5% decline to $3.5 trillion. Asset allocation shifted modestly, with equity holdings rising to 25% from 22%, cash holdings falling to 24% from 26%, and fixed‑income assets increasing to 20% from 18%.

The report highlights that the middle tier of millionaires (those with $5‑30 million) numbered 2.35 million, contributing 9.3% of total millionaire wealth, while the largest group, those with $1‑5 million, numbered 22.65 million and accounted for 89.7% of the millionaire population.
