Global endurance running events scheduled for October 17

Two major endurance running competitions are set to take place on October 17.

The Backyard Ultra World Championship will be held simultaneously in more than 70 countries. The event features 74 national teams, including top contenders such as Belgium, the United States, New Zealand, and France. In Spain, the competition will be hosted in Cartagena, where the national team aims to secure a top-five finish.

In Chile, The North Face Endurance Trail returns to the Andes Mountains in Lo Barnechea. The event features five different distances: 160K, 80K, 50K, 25K, and 10K. The 160K distance, which includes 8,760 meters of positive elevation gain, returns to the competition this year with a 40-hour time limit.
