Global equity markets show rotation toward Value and Yield in Q3 2026

Market analysis for the third quarter of 2026 shows a rotation toward Value, Yield, and fundamental stability, despite a September recovery in Momentum and Volatility factors across the US, Europe, and Emerging Markets. In the US, stocks with stronger momentum and earnings forecasts outperformed, while Value and Yield remained generally weak.

Looking toward October 2026, investment outlooks remain positive due to robust economic growth and rising 12-month corporate earnings forecasts, which have been raised for every sector in the MSCI World for the first time in five years. However, risks persist, including high bond yields—with US ten-year Treasury yields exceeding 5 percent—and heavy market concentration in the technology sector, where artificial intelligence infrastructure is projected to drive approximately 50 percent of expected S&P 500 earnings growth.

Other potential headwinds include a possible slowdown in consumer spending driven by high energy prices and geopolitical tensions involving the US and Iran.
