Global Journalists Council hosts media and friendship event in London

The Global Journalists Council (GJC) held its second annual International Media and Friendship Awards in London, aiming to build diplomatic and cultural bridges through media. The event, hosted at Arundel House, brought together prominent Turkish and British journalists, politicians, and diplomats.

A documentary exhibition titled ‘Pages Opening to Friendship,’ focusing on Turkish-British relations through historical newspaper headlines and declassified diplomatic documents from the last 100 years, was opened by Turkish Ambassador to London, Koray Ertaş. The exhibition, featuring 40 documents, will move from the Yunus Emre Cultural Center to Manchester and Liverpool.

In a related effort to strengthen regional ties, Alanya Municipality officials conducted diplomatic visits in London to meet with Turkish Ambassador Koray Ertaş and Consul General Hasan Ulusoy. The delegation aimed to promote Alanya as an international hub for tourism, culture, and art, seeking to expand British tourism to the region throughout the year.
