Global leaders warn water scarcity endangers food security

The United Nations warns that climate‑driven droughts, floods and contamination are worsening water access for millions, heightening risks of food insecurity, health problems and population displacement. It calls for stronger conservation policies, efficient water use, infrastructure investment and international cooperation to secure safe water supplies for present and future generations.
