Global LNG and gas processing equipment market projected to reach $80.6 billion by 2033

The global liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas processing equipment market is expected to grow from an estimated $53.6 billion in 2026 to $80.6 billion by 2033, representing a compound annual growth rate of 6.0%. This growth is driven by increased investment in gas processing plants, liquefaction facilities, storage terminals, and regasification infrastructure.

In 2025, the Asia-Pacific region dominated the market with a 33.0% revenue share, with China holding the largest individual market share. The midstream LNG infrastructure segment and LNG liquefaction equipment were the leading sectors in 2025.

Concurrently, global natural gas demand is projected to rise by nearly 20% between 2025 and 2035, reaching 5,180 bcm. Analysts suggest that the primary constraint on supply over the next decade will be export infrastructure, such as pipelines and LNG plants, rather than a lack of gas reserves. While a market glut was anticipated for 2026, projections indicate it may arrive later and conclude sooner than previously expected.
