Global Millionaire Count Rises to 25.3 Million in 2025
The Capgemini World Wealth Report shows that the number of global millionaires grew 7.9 % in 2025, reaching 25.3 million people whose investable assets exceed US$1 million. Their combined wealth rose 8.7 % to US$98.3 trillion, the fastest growth in five years. Ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals (UHNWI) – those with at least US$30 million – increased 9.4 % to 250 000 and now hold 35 % of total millionaire wealth despite representing only 1 % of the millionaire population. The United States added the most new millionaires (730 000), bringing its total to 8.73 million and boosting its wealth by almost US$3 trillion. In Asia, millionaire wealth rose 10.5 % with Korea and Taiwan outpacing China as the region’s leading wealth‑creation markets. The report also notes that millionaires shifted their portfolios toward equities, raising the share of stock holdings from 22 % to 25 % of their assets.
