Global natural rubber market projected to reach $35.06 billion by 2032

The global natural rubber market is expected to grow from $31.36 billion in 2026 to $35.06 billion by 2032, representing a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 1.9%, according to a report by YHResearch.

Key growth drivers include the expansion of the electric vehicle (EV) market, which requires specialized tires with high wear resistance and low rolling resistance, as well as increasing demand for medical supplies and industrial components. Sustainability is also a major factor, as companies seek renewable plant-based resources to reduce environmental impact.

However, the market faces significant supply constraints. Projections from the Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries (ANRPC) suggest that global consumption may exceed production by approximately 317,000 tons in 2026. Risks to supply include extreme weather, labor shortages in production regions, aging plantations, and delayed replanting efforts. Manufacturers are advised to diversify procurement sources and optimize inventory management to mitigate these risks.
