Turkey gasoline prices expected to drop amid global oil fluctuations
Gasoline prices in Turkey are expected to undergo a significant reduction, with industry sources projecting a decrease of approximately 4.30 TL to 4.37 TL per liter. This adjustment is anticipated to take effect starting the midnight of Monday, October 19, leading into Tuesday, October 20.
The revised discount follows volatility in international energy markets. While an initial expectation of a 5.65 TL reduction was previously discussed, fluctuations in Mediterranean refined product prices and global oil markets led to a revised estimate. If the 4.37 TL reduction is implemented, a standard 50-liter tank fill could see savings of approximately 218 TL.
Estimated post-discount prices in major cities include roughly 79.60 TL in Istanbul, 80.60 TL in Ankara, and 80.80 TL in Izmir. However, market analysts note that the stability of this discount depends on continued trends in Brent crude and WTI oil prices, which have recently shown volatility due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and supply concerns.
