Global passport rankings and U.S. stealth bomber expansion

The latest Henley Passport Index rankings show Singapore holding the top position, offering access to 192 destinations. Japan, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates follow in second place with 188 destinations each. At the lower end of the index, Afghanistan, Syria, and Iraq hold the least powerful passports.

In West Africa, Burkina Faso is ranked 79th globally, allowing visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to 57 countries. This places it second within the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), ahead of Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Niger, Mali, and Guinea-Bissau.

Separately, the U.S. Air Force has initiated an audit to potentially increase its order of Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider stealth bombers. The current contract covers 100 aircraft, but officials are considering adding 30 to 50 more units to bolster the Air Force Global Strike Command's strategic capabilities in response to evolving geopolitical threats.
