Global passport rankings show mobility shifts for Pakistan and Panama
The 2026 passport rankings reveal divergent travel mobility trends for Pakistan and Panama. The Pakistani passport has dropped nine places to 183rd globally, following a period of gradual improvement between 2023 and 2025. It currently holds a mobility score of 42, providing access to 42 destinations through visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, or electronic travel authorization (ETA). Of these, nine destinations offer visa-free access, including Barbados, Dominica, and Rwanda. A conventional visa is required for 156 destinations.
In contrast, the Panamanian passport ranks 58th worldwide with a mobility score of 137. Panamanian citizens can access 88 destinations visa-free, 41 via visa-on-arrival or simplified entry, and eight through ETA. The passport offers extensive coverage in Europe, providing access to all 47 evaluated destinations. In South America, coverage stands at 91.7%, while North American coverage is 81.8%, with the United States and Canada requiring visas.
