Global robotics market shifts toward AI-driven services and international cooperation

The global robotics industry is undergoing a significant transition from fixed-program machinery to intelligent systems capable of learning and adapting through artificial intelligence. This shift is characterized by the rise of humanoid robots, collaborative robots (cobots), and digital twins, which are increasingly integrated into industrial and social environments.

In Italy and Vietnam, there is growing potential for strategic cooperation focused on the joint research, development, testing, and commercialization of these advanced technologies. This includes humanoid robots capable of complex movements and autonomous mobile robots (AMR/AGV) designed to work alongside humans.

Simultaneously, in China, particularly in Shenzhen, robotics is moving from laboratories into daily service markets. A diverse ecosystem has emerged where consumers can rent or custom-order various models, including robotic dogs, humanoid event performers, and specialized units for healthcare, elderly care, and smart cleaning. The availability of components like servo motors and sensors has also accelerated the development cycle, allowing small-scale custom manufacturing to be completed in significantly shorter timeframes than in previous years.
