Global wellness trends show rise in medical tourism and holistic health

Global trends in wellness and mental health are shifting as individuals seek relief from modern stressors like hyperconnectivity and digital noise. Approximately 15 million people travel annually for medical alternatives, seeking specialized care in countries such as the United States, Canada, Germany, Japan, and South Korea. While high-tech hospitals in nations like the U.S. offer advanced care, high costs often act as a barrier to access.

As a result, many are turning toward holistic health, which integrates physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This includes investments in nutrition, exercise, and mental health practices to combat chronic anxiety and existential stress.

Psychological observations also indicate generational differences in coping with modern stimuli. Individuals aged 55 to 75 demonstrate a higher tolerance for silence compared to younger generations, a trait attributed to growing up in an era before the constant influx of mobile notifications and social media.
