GlobalLogic opens AI laboratory at Technical University of Cluj-Napoca

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, has launched an investment program exceeding RON 247,000 to enhance educational infrastructure at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (UTCN).

The initiative includes the establishment of an artificial intelligence and signal processing laboratory within the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology. Supported by a RON 151,000 contribution from GlobalLogic, the lab features a high-performance educational AI server. This infrastructure is designed to allow students to train and test models using real-world datasets, providing professional-grade experience in advanced AI technologies.

Additionally, a RON 96,500 investment is being directed toward campus improvements. Following an interdisciplinary design competition involving students from UTCN and USAMV, one of the UTCN HUB terraces is being transformed into a functional green roof. This space is intended to serve as an outdoor area for studying and socializing.
