Globalízate fair to offer study abroad options in Chile

The Globalízate study abroad fair will take place in Santiago and various regions of Chile from August 21 to 23. Organized by InterExpo, the free event aims to provide information on language courses, academic programs, and international exchange experiences for students, professionals, and individuals over 50.

Attendees can receive personalized guidance, participate in activities, and take a free English proficiency test to obtain an internationally recognized certificate. The fair expects to host more than 1,500 people, reflecting a growing interest in international education.

The event comes amid data showing significant challenges in English language learning within Chile. According to the EF English Proficiency Index 2025, Chile ranked 54th out of 123 countries with a medium proficiency level of 488 points. The study highlighted specific weaknesses in oral expression and noted that younger demographics, particularly those aged 18 to 20, recorded the lowest proficiency scores.
