Globo and Ay Yapim renew partnership for three new productions

Brazilian media giant Globo and Turkish production company Ay Yapim have renewed their international partnership with a new agreement to develop three additional productions. This follows the success of ‘Leyla’, the first international adaptation of the Brazilian hit ‘Avenida Brasil’, which was distributed to over 100 countries by Madd Entertainment.

The upcoming projects include a Turkish adaptation of the 2011 Globo telenovela ‘Fina Estampa’ (known in English as ‘Looks & Essence’). Titled ‘Ömür Usta’, the production is scheduled to premiere this September on Turkey’s Now channel and will be directed by Hilal Saral. The story, written by Aguinaldo Silva, focuses on the character Griselda, a hardworking woman navigating the contrasts between social appearance and true character.

Madd Entertainment will manage the international distribution for all three new adaptations resulting from this deal. Globo indicated that these productions may also be made available on its digital platforms, including Globoplay.
