Globo announces new telenovela ‘Lá na Minha Terra’
Globo is preparing to premiere the new six o'clock telenovela ‘Lá na Minha Terra’, written by Mario Teixeira and directed by Allan Fiterman. The plot centers on the Madeira family, a rural family in the fictional town of Lavra Seca.
The story follows Rosenda Madeira (played by Dira Paes), a small-scale cattle rancher who has raised five children alone after her husband, Severino (Daniel de Oliveira), disappeared more than 15 years ago after moving to São Paulo. Despite the long absence, Rosenda maintains hope for his return and eventually decides to travel to São Paulo to seek answers.
Her children—Maria Lina, Damaso, Brícia, Dodô, and Águeda—have grown up shaped by their father's absence. Maria Lina, a brave goat herder, shares her mother's determination and will pursue both personal growth and a romance with the cowboy Raimundo Gerardo. The eldest son, Damaso, is a skilled but difficult cowboy whose life changes upon meeting Socorro.
