Globo executive dismissed following misogynistic messages

Grupo Globo has dismissed Frederic Kachar, former director of Print Media and Radio, following the discovery of private messages containing misogynistic comments about female celebrities. The messages were obtained by the Federal Police from the phone of banker Daniel Vorcaro, owner of Banco Master.

The dialogues, which took place between October 2023 and July 2025, included sexualized and derogatory remarks regarding actresses Deborah Secco and Sabrina Sato, as well as Monique Alfradique. Specifically, the messages referenced Secco’s appearance at the 2024 Vogue Ball in Rio de Janeiro.

Deborah Secco’s representatives issued a statement repudiating the comments, describing them as “machista, disrespectful, and irresponsible.” The agency clarified that Secco has no personal relationship with Vorcaro and that her interactions with Kachar were strictly professional.
