Globoplay announces new reality series Herança em Jogo

Globoplay is launching a new original reality series titled ‘Herança em Jogo’ (Inheritance at Stake), scheduled to premiere on September 25. The show is the first international adaptation of the Studio Lambert format ‘The Inheritance’.

Thirteen contestants will be confined in a luxury property to compete for a prize of up to R$ 1 million in gold bars. The narrative features actress Susana Vieira playing ‘A Falecida’ (The Deceased), an eccentric millionaire whose estate becomes the subject of the competition. Rodrigo Faro will serve as ‘O Testamenteiro’ (The Executor), overseeing challenges and monitoring contestant decisions in the ‘Sala do Cofre’ (Vault Room).

The cast includes a diverse range of professionals, such as a financial consultant, a hypnotist, a professional magician, a criminal lawyer, a digital strategist, and a poker croupier. Produced by Formata, the series will consist of ten episodes released weekly on Fridays, with the first three episodes debuting on the premiere date.
