Globoplay series ‘Emergência 53’ begins filming second season

Filming is currently underway for the second season of the Globoplay original series ‘Emergência 53’. Produced by Conspiração, the drama follows the high-pressure daily lives of emergency medical professionals.

The new season will introduce a new character, nursing technician Rafa (played by Dhon Augusto), who will serve as a motorcycle ambulance pilot for Unit 53. The plot picks up following the events of the first season's finale, with the character Manuela (Valentina Herszage) in a critical state after a collapse. Additionally, the character Ana (Julia Lemmertz) is expected to stir up past conflicts by gathering former enemies of Unit 53.

The series was created by Claudio Torres, Marcio Maranhão, and Andrucha Waddington. The second season features writing by Claudio Torres and Fábio Mendes, alongside Marcio Maranhão and Priscila Gontijo.
