Globoplay sets premiere date for ‘Verônika com K’ series

The Globoplay original series ‘Verônika com K’ is scheduled to premiere on October 22 with all eight episodes released simultaneously. Starring Roberta Rodrigues, the legal-police drama explores the complexities of criminal law and power struggles.

The story follows Verônika, a brilliant criminal lawyer from a marginalized background who built a successful career after leaving her community following a family tragedy. The plot, set six years before the events of ‘Arcanjo Renegado’, centers on a dilemma Verônika faces when she is asked to defend Rod, an influential drug lord, while her mentor is embroiled in a corruption scandal. The tension is heightened by Cristiano, a childhood friend turned police officer, who is determined to arrest Rod.

Created by José Júnior and directed by Silvio Guindane and Rachel Camara, the production is a collaboration with AfroReggae Audiovisual. The release is part of Globoplay’s ongoing strategy to expand its original content catalog to increase subscriber numbers.
