Glogova local authority fined 55,000 lei for environmental violations

The Gorj Environmental Guard has issued a 55,000 lei fine to the local authority in Glogova following inspections triggered by citizen reports. The sanctions stem from improper waste management and the identification of abandoned waste zones within the community.

Additionally, authorities discovered commercial activities being conducted within the ‘Motru River’ protected area without the required mandatory permits. In response to these violations, the Glogova City Hall is required to immediately clean all affected areas and is prohibited from organizing any further activities within the protected natural area without legal authorization.
