Gloria Cheng to perform at Bari Piano Festival 2026

The ninth edition of the Bari Piano Festival, directed by Emanuele Arciuli, is currently underway in Bari, Italy. The festival aims to explore contemporary music, jazz, and the intersection of piano with cinema and visual arts.

A highlight of the event is a performance by Grammy Award-winning American pianist Gloria Cheng on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the Castello Svevo. Her program, titled ‘Silver Screen, Blue Notes’, bridges classical tradition, jazz, and cinematic music, featuring works by composers such as John Williams, Michael Giacchino, and Anthony Davis.

The festival also includes a national conference at the Teatro Petruzzelli titled ‘Who is afraid of contemporary music?’ and various other musical appointments across significant urban spaces in the city.
