Gloriana Sánchez begins Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt

Costa Rican rhythmic gymnast Gloriana Sánchez Arguedas has begun her participation in the 2026 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Frankfurt, Germany. During the opening day of individual qualifying rounds, Sánchez competed in the hoop and ball apparatuses, earning scores of 21.050 and 19.500, respectively.

Sánchez is scheduled to compete in the ribbon and clubs events during the second day of the competition. The championship, which runs until August 16, features over 340 gymnasts from 73 countries and serves as the first event providing direct qualification pathways for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.
