Pooh Shiesty remains in custody as prosecutors unveil new evidence in Gucci Mane robbery case

Federal prosecutors have filed a response to rapper Pooh Shiesty's pre‑trial release request, urging the court to keep him detained without bond. The filing includes surveillance stills and photographs from the alleged January 10, 2024 incident in a Dallas recording studio where Gucci Mane was allegedly forced at gunpoint to sign a contract release and then robbed. Images show a man identified as Big30 (Rodney Wright Jr.) filming the event, and a co‑defendant holding a firearm beside Gucci Mane, identified by the initials “R. D.”. A security guard who worked for Gucci Mane submitted a letter to the judge expressing fear for his family if Shiesty is released. Prosecutors also allege that Shiesty leads a Memphis street gang of roughly 100 members and has a history of violent conduct. While Shiesty's father and co‑defendant Big30 have been released on bond, Shiesty remains in federal custody, with trial scheduled for February 22, 2027.
