Gloucester Rugby pursuing new investment as losses surge
Gloucester Rugby chief executive Alex Brown said there are ongoing talks about fresh investment for the Premiership club, though the potential investors have not been disclosed. The club’s accounts show a sharp jump in losses, rising from about £516,000 to £2.9 million for the year ending June 2025, a rise of more than 450 percent. Majority owner Martin St Quinton has pledged financial support until at least 2027, and Brown stressed that any deal must be right for the long‑term future of the Cherry and Whites.
Brown highlighted growing interest in Premiership Rugby overall, noting recent investment deals at Newcastle, Bath and Exeter. He also pointed to the successful summer concerts at Kingsholm, which drew over 20,000 visitors, as a sign of the club’s broader appeal. Despite the financial challenges, he urged supporters not to worry about the club’s overall health.
