Glovo hosts Startup Campus in Barcelona to support emerging tech startups

Glovo has hosted the fourth annual Startup Campus in Barcelona, a three-day program designed to support high-potential early-stage startups. The initiative aims to accelerate business development and strengthen local innovation ecosystems by providing founders with opportunities to exchange ideas, discuss business strategies, and explore technology industry trends alongside experienced specialists.

The program facilitates networking and provides access to practical insights from entrepreneurs and investors, concluding with a pitching session where startups present solutions to venture capital investors and industry experts. This year's participants included 19 startups and 33 founders from various countries, including Kazakhstan, Kenya, Germany, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Tunisia, Ukraine, and the Republic of Moldova.

Representing the Republic of Moldova was Renter, the winner of the local Power Up Moldova competition organized by Glovo. Renter provides long-term subscriptions for electric bicycles intended for couriers and delivery companies. Sacha Michaud, Co-Founder of Glovo, noted that the program seeks to pass on lessons learned since the company's launch in 2015 to help founders from emerging technological ecosystems grow.
