Glória milk batch suspended in Rio de Janeiro

The Rio de Janeiro State Health Secretariat (SES-RJ) has ordered the suspension of sales and use of a specific batch of Glória brand whole UHT milk. The precautionary measure follows a failed test conducted by the Noel Nutels Central Public Health Laboratory (Lacen-RJ).

The suspension applies to batch 31 of the 1-liter Tetra Pak packaging, manufactured on June 18, 2026, with an expiration date of October 15, 2026. The decision was prompted by unsatisfactory results in a routine microbiological analysis measuring viable mesophilic aerobic counts.

Health authorities have clarified that the restriction is limited strictly to this specific batch; all other Glória products remain safe for consumption. Retailers and food handlers are instructed to identify and immediately discard any units from batch 31. Consumers who possess the affected product are advised not to consume it and to dispose of it immediately for safety reasons.
