GLS Denmark begins construction of warehouse hotel in Kolding

GLS Denmark has commenced construction on a new warehouse hotel in Kolding, marking the company's entry into the fulfillment business sector. The project, located at Trianglen, aims to provide storage, picking, and packing services to supplement its existing parcel delivery operations.

Targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the e-commerce sector, the facility will initially span 5,000 square meters, with the potential to expand to 15,000 square meters plus administrative space. The site will feature automated technology, including an AutoStore semi-automatic warehouse system and an automated sorting belt to minimize manual handling.

The project is expected to create approximately 30 new jobs, primarily for warehouse operators. Construction is being carried out by Kjæhr & Trillingsgaard, and the facility is slated for completion toward the end of 2027.
