Glyfada Amber Alert Issued for Missing 9‑Year‑Old Twins
Two 9‑year‑old twin sisters, Artemis Andrikopoulou and Aphrodite Andrikopoulou, have been missing from the Glyfada area of Greece since 24 July 2026. Authorities say the disappearance is a parental abduction, with the mother alleged to have taken the children.
Following a prosecutor’s order, the child‑welfare organization “To Smile of the Child” activated the national Amber Alert system on 31 July 2026. The alert disseminates the twins’ descriptions—both have brown hair, brown eyes, are about 1.35 m tall and weigh 35 kg—and circulates their photos to police, media, transport companies and volunteers. The public is urged to contact the European Missing Persons line (116 000), any police station, or the Missing Alert app for information.
Investigations remain ongoing as authorities seek to locate the children and determine the circumstances of the alleged mother‑led kidnapping.
