Glyfada fatal crash kills three young Albanian nationals

A fatal high-speed car accident occurred in the early hours of Thursday on Poseidonos Avenue in Glyfada, Athens. The crash resulted in the deaths of three young Albanian nationals originally from Fier, while two other 18-year-olds remain in critical condition at Asklepieio Voulas Hospital.

The vehicle, carrying five occupants, reportedly lost control and struck a hotel wall with extreme force, causing the car to be almost completely destroyed. Investigations are exploring several theories, including whether the occupants were participating in an illegal street race or recording a live stream on TikTok at the time of the collision. Some reports suggest the vehicle was a modified car designed for racing.

Separately, in Evia, a young driver was arrested in Psachna after causing a traffic accident while driving under the influence of alcohol. Following his arrest, the individual reportedly became highly agitated at the police station, where he caused significant property damage by forcibly tearing off a metal cell door.
