GM Korea and Hyeopsinhoe hold charity walk in Incheon
GM Korea and Hyeopsinhoe, an association of GM's domestic suppliers, held a ‘10,000 Steps Sharing Walk’ at Incheon Grand Park on May 12. Approximately 700 participants, including GM Korea President Hector Villarreal, Hyeopsinhoe Chairman Hur Woo-young, and Incheon Mayor Park Chan-dae, joined the event.
The initiative used a donation model where 1 KRW was accumulated per step, resulting in a 10,000 KRW donation per person upon reaching 10,000 steps. The funds collected from the 6km course were donated to five local welfare organizations and groups in Incheon: Bupyeong Home Care Center for the Elderly, Hanultari Temporary Shelter, Shilman Mulga-ui Jip, Eun-gwang-won, and the Love Rice Sharing Movement Headquarters.
The donations are designated for purchasing daily necessities, convenience items, and clothing, as well as conducting waterproofing construction for welfare facilities. Both GM Korea and Hyeopsinhoe expressed their commitment to continuing social contribution activities and strengthening cooperation with the local community.
