GM Korea and Inpyeong Automotive High School sign industry-academic partnership

GM Korea, the Korea GM labor union, and Inpyeong Automotive High School have entered into an industry-academic cooperation agreement to foster automotive industry talent and support local community development. The agreement was signed on October 26 at the GM Korea promotion hall in Bupyeong, Incheon.

Under the partnership, GM Korea will provide vehicles and equipment for educational and practical training purposes. The collaboration includes specialized lectures based on GM Korea’s technical training center, production site visits, and support for students' career exploration. The labor union aims to ensure students learn both technical skills and the importance of labor rights and workplace safety, framing the initiative as part of 'L-ESG' practices.

The three parties plan to discuss specific schedules and may consider expanding this cooperation model to other specialized high schools and educational institutions in the future.
