GM showcases Escalade IQ and R&D capabilities at DIFA 2026

General Motors (GM) is participating in the 2026 Daegu Future Mobility Expo (DIFA 2026) to showcase the Cadillac flagship electric SUV, the 2026 Escalade IQ. The exhibition, held at Daegu EXCO, highlights GM’s electrification technology and digital experiences.

A primary focus of the participation is to emphasize the role of GM Technical Center Korea. As GM’s second-largest R&D hub globally after its US headquarters, the center handles the entire vehicle development process, including design, engineering, vehicle validation, and production technology.

During the DIFA 2026 conference, Brian McMurray, President of GM Technical Center Korea, delivered a keynote speech regarding future mobility in the age of Artificial Intelligence. He emphasized that as AI rapidly transforms the automotive industry, technical performance must be supported by human judgment, responsibility, and trust in technology.
