GMES 2026 opens to expand global markets for Gangwon medical devices

The 22nd Gangwon Medical Device Exhibition (GMES 2026) has opened at the Wonju Medical Device Comprehensive Support Center. The event features 147 domestic and international companies and institutions, with approximately 140 buyers invited to participate in business consultations aimed at expanding both domestic and global market reach.

Organized by Gangwon State and Wonju City, and co-hosted by the Wonju Medical Industry Promotion Agency, KOTRA Gangwon Support Headquarters, and the National Health Insurance Service, the exhibition focuses on facilitating actual contract results. The program includes 1:1 export consultations, networking dinners, and post-event follow-up support to ensure long-term business relationships.

In addition to medical device technology, the exhibition showcases mobile medical systems designed for emergency response to infectious diseases and large-scale disasters. Four mobile hospital vehicles capable of operating operating rooms and intensive care units are on display. Other programs include an RA forum, marketing consultations, and AI-integrated experience zones for general visitors.
