GMF AeroAsia and FTAI Aviation partner for engine maintenance

PT Garuda Maintenance Facility Aero Asia Tbk (GMF) and FTAI Aviation Ltd. have entered into a long-term partnership to develop capacity and capabilities for aircraft engine and Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) maintenance. This collaboration aims to expand GMF’s market reach within the Asia-Pacific region and globally.

The initial phase of the agreement focuses on CFM56-5B and CFM56-7B engines, as well as GTCP131-9 series APUs, with a guaranteed capacity allocation for FTAI over the next five years. Future developments may include module and piece-part capabilities and services for next-generation engines, such as the CFM LEAP.

GMF is also currently recruiting for several technical roles, including Aircraft Technician and Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, to support its operations. The technician positions require a minimum of a D3 diploma.
