Mohamed Salah impacts Egypt national team and Turkish club commerce

Mohamed Salah is currently at the center of several developments involving his professional career and his impact on local tourism in Turkey.

In Egypt, the national team announced that Salah would be rested for the upcoming South Sudan match due to concerns regarding the artificial turf surface. This follows his early substitution during an Angola match, a move Egypt's technical staff described as a technical decision rather than a response to injury.

In Turkey, Salah's presence has significantly boosted Trabzonspor's commercial activity, with jersey sales increasing by 152% compared to the same period last year. Former coach Fatih Tekke also recently praised Salah's professionalism and versatility on and off the pitch.

Additionally, a local phenomenon has emerged in Gümüşhane's Kurtdere Plateau. After Salah shared a photo sitting on a stone in the area, the site became a popular tourist destination. However, a sign reading ‘Salah Yaylası’ and a bench placed by the Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality were mysteriously removed overnight. Local officials suggest the removal may have been linked to social media debates regarding regional borders between Trabzon and Gümüşhane.
