GMI Cloud raises $668 million to expand global AI GPU infrastructure

GMI Cloud, an AI infrastructure provider, has secured approximately $668 million in new financing to expand its global GPU capacity. The funding consists of a $223 million Series B equity round and a $445 million credit facility.

The Series B round was led by the San Francisco-based investment firm ARCHIV, with participation from NVIDIA and several Asia-Pacific investors, including DSC Investment, Trend Micro, KB Investment, Kyobo Life, and KT Corporation. The credit facility was led by CTBC Bank.

The company plans to utilize the capital to increase its infrastructure footprint across the United States, Taiwan, and the broader Asia-Pacific region. This expansion follows significant commercial growth, with GMI Cloud reporting that its contracted annual recurring revenue has surpassed $600 million. The company is also pursuing a sovereign AI initiative in Japan to meet specific regional data-residency and regulatory requirements.
