Polish municipalities issue weather alerts, waste collection changes and local event notices

The municipal authorities of several Polish gminas issued public notices in August 2026. The Gmina Brodnica warned of heat, thunderstorms and high temperatures, while the Gmina Sulejów declared the highest level heat warning, urging residents to take precautions. The Gmina Osiek announced an earlier start to municipal waste collection this week because of forecasted high temperatures. The Gmina Krajenka reported that its communal waste processing centre (PSZOK) is temporarily non‑operational. In Opole Lubelskie, the local Roman‑Catholic parish listed upcoming masses, pilgrimages and other liturgical events. The town of Szczawno‑Zdrój promoted the 9th Vintage Car Rally scheduled for 3 August. Finally, the Gmina Trąbki Wielkie announced that its municipal office will be closed on 18 August 2026.
