Polish regions grant millions to businesses, fire brigades and projects

Local authorities in several Polish regions have approved a series of funding programmes. In Przasnysz County, six new companies will be created with support from European Union funds and the Mazowieckie 2026 programme. The Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship awarded 700 000 zł to 16 youth fire‑brigade units for equipment, uniforms and training trips. In Podlaskie, the municipality of Choroszcz received a 25 000 zł grant to upgrade its volunteer fire‑service equipment. The OSP unit in Lubowidze (Łódź region) obtained a 234 489 zł subsidy for a modern rescue‑fire vehicle. Kościerzyna’s county fire service was equipped with a Rosenbauer RB6 fire‑pump, WINGS fire‑blankets and a Ford Ranger rescue vehicle, funded by the county budget. A water‑utility company in Grębocice secured financing for drainage and retention works to mitigate droughts and floods. Jaworzno cancelled a planned road viaduct over railway tracks after deeming the financing terms unfavorable. Meanwhile, the Ostrowiec Świętokrzyskie citizen‑budget process will begin voting on 20 August, allocating 1 444 444 zł to local projects.
