GMKtec launches EVO‑X3 AI mini PC with up to 128 GB RAM

GMKtec announced the EVO‑X3 compact desktop for on‑premises artificial‑intelligence workloads. The system is built around an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with 16 Zen‑5 cores and 32 threads, an integrated Radeon 8060S GPU, and a neural‑processing unit delivering 50 TOPS. It supports up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X‑8000 RAM and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots for up to 16 TB of storage. The unit fits in a chassis roughly the size of a PlayStation 4 and offers a range of ports, including HDMI 2.1, USB‑Type C with 40 Gbps transfer, and an OCuLink for external PCIe expansion.

Early‑access registration opens on 22 June, with a global launch scheduled for 29 June. GMKtec markets the EVO‑X3 for local AI inference and self‑hosted AI gateways, aiming to lower cloud data‑transfer costs and meet emerging EU AI‑Act compliance requirements. Pricing has not been disclosed, but analysts expect a premium price due to the high‑performance components.
