GMO increases Netflix and NVIDIA stakes, exits Berkshire
Grantham, Mayo & van Otterloo (GMO) significantly adjusted its portfolio during the second quarter of 2026, according to SEC transparency filings. The investment firm, led by Jeremy Grantham, reported a total portfolio value of approximately $44.4 billion.
Notable increases were seen in technology holdings. GMO increased its position in Netflix by over 155%, adding roughly 6.3 million shares to reach a total of 10,350,004 shares valued at approximately $739 million. The firm also aggressively expanded its NVIDIA holdings by more than 1,200%, adding 4.3 million shares to bring the total to 4,671,972 shares, with a market value of approximately $935 million.
On the divestment side, GMO completely exited its positions in Barrick Gold and Berkshire Hathaway. The sale of Barrick Gold involved 497,435 shares, while the exit from Berkshire Hathaway (Class B shares) involved the sale of 2,654 shares that had been held since the first quarter of 2021.
