GMR Aero Technic and Logic Air sign aircraft modification MoU

GMR Aero Technic, the MRO arm of the GMR Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Canada-based Logic Air Inc. to expand aircraft modification, engineering, and certification capabilities.

The partnership aims to provide integrated modification solutions for airlines, aircraft lessors, and cargo operators in India, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region. These services are designed to be performed alongside scheduled maintenance, aircraft redelivery programs, and transition checks.

Key areas of initial collaboration include navigation and operational upgrades for Boeing 737NG aircraft, as well as engine indication modernization for ATR and Dash 8 aircraft. The agreement also covers Dash 8 Q400 modifications, cabin electrical and structural work, freighter conversions, and component obsolescence support. Additionally, the companies will explore the validation and adaptation of Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) and modification data for both Indian and international operators.
