Gmundner Kunstverein opens art exhibition in Bad Ischl

The Gmundner Kunstverein has launched a new summer exhibition titled ‘Zwischen Wasser & Licht’ (Between Water & Light) in the historic Trinkhalle in Bad Ischl. Held on the traditional Kaisergeburtstag, the exhibition features works from eleven regional artists.

The showcase aims to celebrate the tradition of ‘Sommerfrische’ in the Salzkammergut region and strengthen the cultural connection between the Traunsee area and Bad Ischl. The art explores alpine light effects on the Traun river and the landscape of the Salzkammergut mountains. Despite rainy weather, Matthias Kretschmer, chairman of the Gmundner Kunstverein, noted a strong turnout for the opening.
