GNÇ Türkiye Sinema Festivali attracts 777,000 viewers

The second GNÇ Türkiye Sinema Festivali attracted approximately 777,000 viewers across 75 provinces in Turkey. Held on September 26-27, the event utilized roughly 1,500 cinema halls nationwide.

Organized by the Cinema Hall Investors Association (SİSAY) with support from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's General Directorate of Cinema, the festival offered tickets at a discounted price of 90 lira. This initiative led to significant activity in shopping malls, benefiting the food, beverage, and retail sectors.

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that the high turnout demonstrates the “unifying power of cinema.” He emphasized that the Ministry will continue to support domestic film production and strengthen the connection between youth and cinema. Organizers aim to hold the next festival on September 25-26, 2027.
