Gnags announces farewell tour after 60 years

The veteran Danish rock band Gnags has announced its retirement after 60 years of musical activity. The band, which has been active since 1966, will conclude its career with a farewell tour titled ‘GRANDE FINALE’ in the spring of 2027.

Lead singer Peter A. G. announced the decision during a performance at Smukfest, noting that while the band will no longer perform at festivals, they will hold a series of indoor concerts in Denmark’s largest arenas. The tour is scheduled to visit major cities including Aarhus, Aalborg, Herning, Odense, and Copenhagen.

As part of this final chapter, the band is also releasing a new album titled ‘KNARK’ on September 4. The farewell tour aims to celebrate six decades of music, ranging from their early experimental rock and folk roots to the reggae and soul-influenced hits that defined their popularity in the 1980s.
