Göndeliç Dağı to host massive winter tourism center in Ordu
A major winter tourism center is planned for Göndeliç Dağı in Ordu, Turkey, following its designation as a Culture and Tourism Protection and Development Zone. The project aims to transform the region into an international destination.
The development will span approximately 4,000 hectares and includes 30 ski tracks totaling 120 kilometers, nine mechanical facilities, and a daily capacity for 70,000 people. To support this, the plan includes the construction of 30 hotels providing a total of 28,954 beds, alongside natural living areas and the creation of 3,500 jobs.
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler stated that the project will be implemented in stages. Combined with the existing Çambaşı Ski Center, which has seen significant investment in infrastructure and social facilities since 2019, the initiative is intended to drive long-term economic growth and regional employment.
