Génesis FC and Olancho FC draw 0-0 in La Paz

Génesis FC and Olancho FC played to a 0-0 draw during Matchday 8 of the 2026/2027 Apertura Tournament at the Roberto Suazo Córdova Stadium in La Paz. Both teams entered the match with 10 points.

The match was marked by an early red card in the 12th minute, when Denis Meléndez of Génesis FC was sent off following a VAR review for an incident involving Henry Gómez. Despite playing with ten men, Génesis FC maintained control for portions of the match and nearly scored in the 36th minute, only to be denied by a goal-line clearance from Robertino Canavesio.

Olancho FC utilized their numerical advantage to create several opportunities, including a header by Jerry Bengtson in the 70th minute that was disallowed for offside. Despite late attempts from both sides, including chances by Manuel Gamboa and Marcos Solano, the match ended without a goal.
