Gniezno implements new pedestrian crossing lighting

Authorities in Gniezno have completed the installation of additional lighting at four pedestrian crossings located on county roads. The project, which included sites on Wrzesińska, Wyszyńskiego, and Słowackiego streets, cost 223,000 PLN. Funding was partially sourced from the ‘Razem Bezpieczniej’ program, which provided 120,000 PLN in subsidies.

In a separate local development matter, Councilor Agata Brzozowska-Kempf has raised questions regarding the lack of lighting on Jana Pawła II street in Podkowa Leśna. She noted that while the street is a county road, previous lighting plans were stalled due to a request to register the area as a historical monument. The councilor is seeking clarification on the city's coordination with the Grodzisk County regarding future safety improvements and timelines for other crossings.
