MasterChef Türkiye production interrupted by studio flooding

The popular cooking competition MasterChef Türkiye experienced an unexpected broadcast change on Friday, October 23, 2026, when TV8 aired a repeat episode instead of a new installment. This led to widespread social media speculation regarding whether the show had been canceled or had reached its finale.

Reports indicate that heavy rainfall in Istanbul caused flooding in the studio where the program is filmed. The flooding reportedly affected the filming area and technical equipment, forcing a temporary pause in production. Because the stock of pre-recorded episodes had been exhausted, the channel opted to broadcast repeat episodes to fill the schedule.

Despite the interruption, the show has not been canceled. TV8's schedule indicates that new episodes are slated to return on Saturday, October 24, and Sunday, October 25. Production is expected to resume once cleaning, maintenance, and technical repairs at the studio are completed.
